Third Trimester!

We are officially in the 3rd trimester! Nicole is 28 weeks and 3 days! Her dr. appointment today went well and they heard the baby's heartbeat which was in the 150s. Everything else went well too, just waiting on some results from blood tests-including the glucose screening test. Nicole now starts having appointments every 2 weeks and should have another dr. appt to check to see if the placenta previa improved in about 4 weeks. Until then she remains on modified bed rest-which basically means she goes to work and comes home and lays down. It is important to stay off her feet as much as possible.

This past Friday Mark and Nicole had the first childbirth class-they are taking Bradley Method courses, which promotes a natural and drug free childbirth. While that may not be possible, they found that the class curriculum covered a lot of what they will need to know as they approach the birth and after the baby comes. In the first class alone they learned some great techniques to minimize pain during delivery.

Mark and Nicole also received a surprise from their relatives in South Africa! Several of Mark's aunts, uncles and cousins sent over adorable African clothes for Olivia. Check out these precious outfits and book!

The nursery is also coming along nicely, thanks to Nicole's parents for moving LOTS of furniture and purchasing the crib. And Mark's parents helped put together the crib and glider and move furniture. Nicole is also finding cute polka dot accessories to match the room and tomorrow Mark is putting together the changing table. The room is really coming together and we hope to be able to share pictures with everyone soon!

Thanks so much everyone for your continued prayers and support. We appreciate everyone checking on us and helping us as we start this new chapter in our lives.
