Olivia made two attempts to see Santa, with both resulting in crying fits, but we did get a nice family picture with Santa at Northpoint Mall (her visit with Santa at Babyland General resulted in her pulling my top down to an inappropriate level and as such that picture can't be shown). As soon as we get our new scanner plugged in I will upload our Santa picture from Northpoint.
Friends and family were overly generous with gifts for Olivia and since we knew it would take too long to open all the presents on Christmas morning we let Olivia open a present every other night in the weeks leading up to Christmas. She loved unwrapping presents and playing with the paper. Some of her favorite gifts included a swing set from Nana and Poppy, a push along princess car from Ma'Kulu and Gramps, a cooking/singing pot from Aunt Victoria and Uncle Dave and Cousin Maxine, and her first laptop from Mommy and Daddy. She also got plenty of fun books, baby dolls, a ball popper, music table, keys, and a talking cell phone-what a lucky little girl!
Christmas Eve we all headed to a Church service then came home and stuffed ourselves on crab stew, grilled shrimp, lobster and steak. Olivia had a fever that night and wasn't feeling so good so we all got some rest and the next morning we were up bright and early to see what Santa brought us. After opening presents and a delicious breakfast, we headed to Augusta to see all the rest of the family. With a Dirty Santa game, grandmother's amazing food and lots of fun and family time, we went to bed exhausted. That night, it even started snowing-the perfect ending to a special and memorable Christmas!
