Olivia was in a princess phase yesterday and spent most of the afternoon talking in a high pitched "princess" voice. I am sure the other restaurant patrons loved us.
Anyway, after dinner Olivia asked Nana for gum using her princess voice. (Yes, Nana gives Olivia the tiniest piece of sugar-free gum every now and then-sigh.)
I said, "Olivia, princesses don't chew gum. It is not ladylike."
Immediately Olivia changed out of her princess voice and said, "I'm not a princess anymore. Can I have some gum?"
This girl is too smart for her own good!
