Pumpkin Painting

Since our visit to the pumpkin patch, Olivia has been talking about painting pumpkins. So the other afternoon we headed outside to create our masterpieces. At first Olivia very carefully painted her pumpkin.

Then I needed to go inside and turn on the oven so I asked Mark to watch Olivia. While he "watched" her she painted her fingernails. In his defense he told me he was watching her....paint her nails.

After that, all bets were off and she "fingerpainted" her pumpkin. It was quite a swirly- but pretty- mess. However, then she decided to pour the brush water on the pumpkin so now it's back orange-and ready to paint again!
