Monday Moments: Sadness

This weekend has been rough for several reasons. A generous, loving, and funny lady left this earth. We were honored to call her a friend and family member and she will be missed greatly. We spent the weekend remembering her.

Olivia was also recovering from croup. It started Tuesday afternoon with a hoarse voice and quickly developed into a fever and trouble breathing. The wheezing concerned me enough that we called CHOA and we spent the evening trying a variety of ways to help her breathe easier. We went to the doctor on Wednesday and got medicine and while it seemed to make things better temporarily, Thursday night  was even worse. I was up most of the night watching Olivia as she struggled to breathe. Nana took Olivia back to the doctor on Friday and a new round of medicine seems to be doing the trick. She is finally playing some and while still not back to herself, she is improving.
