Last year I did my first year in review entry. It’s here if you want a trip down memory lane.
This year as I was looking back over all my past entries, I was reminded of lots of fun moments as a family. From trips to museums, to free events in the community, to weekend trips away we have had some great experiences this past year. But even more so than that, my favorite entries are about the time we spent with family, with Olivia playing with her cousins, and family birthday and holiday celebrations. We are so blessed to live close to family and be able to see their interactions with Olivia.
So without further delay, here are my favorite blog entries from 2012.
1. Olivia’s 2nd birthday and Birthday Letter: Of course a milestone as important as a birthday needs to be a favorite. I am really pleased of how the Mickey Mouse themed party came together and even more happy that Olivia enjoyed it as much as she did.
2. Gardening: This was just an ordinary weekend but it was such a proud moment for us because we saw Olivia’s work ethic and her desire to help us. She worked so hard weeding the garden and she took such joy in watching the flowers and vegetables grow. This is a reminder to include Olivia in our regular to-do list because she is such a great helper!
3. Halloween: All of the holidays are really fun at this age but we especially enjoyed Halloween which was spent with Olivia’s cousins. They made the cutest Lil Bo Peeps and sheep you could ever imagine!
4. Thanksgiving: Another holiday post but we had the best Thanksgiving ever. It was a week spent with family-lots of baking, lots of family gatherings, lots of shopping. It was the best!
5. My Birthday: Again, another family related posting, but this was the first time in many years I had a birthday party. My mom went to great lengths to throw the perfect party and it was so much fun!
