7 Months Old

Gracelyn turned 7 months old on March 21. It's crazy to think how she has grown. She interacts more and more with us and has started to cry when we walk out of the room without her. Gracelyn sometimes says mama and dadda-although we are not convinced it is intentional but we do know she says the cat's name. When she sees Emma she says "Emmm."

Gracelyn is still our smiley girl-unless you try to put her down. She will be content all day being held while you go about your normal activities, but don't try and set her down-she won't have it! She loves to give me sloppy wet kisses and she likes pulling her sister's hair. She seems to be gaining weight, although I am not so sure about height. So far, all the foods we have tried, with the exception of pears, she has liked. She especially likes mumm mumms while we are eating. She puts everything in her mouth-especially Sofie the Giraffe. She's been sitting up for over a month now but she is much more sturdy. Sometimes it seems like she wants to crawl and she will rock back and forth or scoot backwards. I don't think we are too far off from her crawling so time to install the baby gates!

Gracelyn still doesn't sleep through the night. Depending on when she goes to sleep she is up once or twice to nurse. Some days she naps like a champ and other days she will only nap while being held. Despite causing us to be in a permanently exhausted state, she brings immense joy to our lives. She can light up a room with her smile and her cuddles are the best. Our hearts are filled with so much more joy with Gracelyn in our lives.
