American Girl Bistro

For Olivia's actual birthday we took her to the American Girl Bistro. Before the lunch we let her pick out an American Girl doll! Since January she had been working to fill out a chore chart that had 47 spots to fill in. She worked very hard to fill it out in time for the birthday outing.

After going back and forth between Isabelle, All about Me doll, and Caroline, Olivia chose Isabelle. She picked out a few accessories then Isabelle had lunch with us!

Since we have gotten home Olivia has enjoyed reading the Isabelle book-it's her first chapter book and we read a little bit each night. She also changed her doll's clothes often! I know people roll their eyes over the price of these dolls, but there really is something so special about getting your own American Girl doll. They think of every single detail. I was proud of the chores Olivia completed to get her doll!
