Gracelyn turned 10 months old on June 21. I know I keep saying this, but time really is going so quickly.
Recently Gracelyn has been standing more and more and pulling up on everything. Sometimes she stands unassisted. She really wants to walk!
It is obvious she is comprehending more. She listens when you talk to her and responds to what you say. If you tell her no she immediately pushes her bottom lip out and cries. She has quite a temper when she doesn't get what she wants! She can turn on (and off) the tears quickly! Her eyebrows get extremely red when she cries and she holds her breath (so we have to blow in her mouth to make her breathe).
Lately she has been a mama's girl. If I come in the room or she hears my voice she wants me and only me. Only big sister Olivia can distract her when she wants me. The girls play well together. Gracelyn looks up to Olivia and always laughs and smiles when they play together.
Sleeping still isn't stellar. She wakes a few times a night to nurse, but quickly goes back to sleep. Generally she takes 2 naps a day.
Gracelyn wants less and less pureed food and more finger foods. She loves chicken and many fruits. She is also a fan of bread, cheese, and string green beans and steamed brocolli. Gracelyn still nurses easily and takes 2-3 bottles of pumped milk when I am in the office.
Gracelyn has 5 teeth that have fully broken through the gums and another one peaking through. She loves to give big grins and show off her teeth. For awhile she was missing her top middle teeth, but her "fangs" were in so she got quite a lot of attention from strangers when she smiled.
We can't imagine life without Gracelyn. She brings even more joy and happiness and laughter to our family. While we look forward to upcoming milestones, part of me wishes we could just freeze time.
