Nesting already?

In the last two weeks, the realization that we will have a baby in April has sunken in. 156 days to go and a to-do list that is around 156 items long! Don't get us wrong, most of the items on the list are actually really fun, shopping and preparing the nursery, but when you are up in the middle of the night (because congestion is keeping you from sleeping) it does weigh heavy on your mind. So the nesting has begun. Mark installed extra shelving in the closet of the nursery and I cleaned out the closets and drawers. Mom comes up in 2 weeks to help us with carpet cleaning and a house deep cleaning and if the baby coorporates, we will know the baby's gender by then so we can begin all the shopping. Each week that goes by makes it seem all the more real that soon we will have a sweet baby in our home.

Nicole is now 17 weeks and 2 days and in the last week has started feeling the baby kick! What an amazing feeling!!! Unfortunately the slight burst of energy from a few weeks ago is over and exhaustion has set in once again. Luckily, the morning sickness continues to improve and is less and less each day.

Thanks everyone who keeps checking on us and praying for us. We so appreciate your good thoughts as we continue on this journey.

Love, Mark and Nicole
