Olivia Visits the Zoo

This past Sunday we joined the Mocks for a day at the zoo. The weather couldn't have been more perfect and the crowds were slim so we had a perfect view of the animals. When we first arrived at the zoo Olivia seemed more interested in the other children instead of the animals but as time went on, she started watching the animals more and more. Once we took her out of her stroller she held our hands and walked around. She especially liked standing next to the glass wall with the monkeys and she kept making monkey sounds. Later we saw some pigs and Olivia made pig noises. But her favorite animals were the pandas. She pointed, babbled and smiled the entire time she watched the baby panda and mama panda.

Even though the day was long and Olivia was over due for a nap she was enjoying herself so much we let her go on her first train ride and carousel ride. Right before it was time to go we found a wonderful playground and Olivia got her second wind and spent time playing on a school bus.

All in all, it was an absolutely perfect family outing. We were so excited to share the day with my best friend and her family and we look forward to lots more trips to the zoo.
