At 15 months, 4 weeks old

At her well visit today Olivia weighed almost 22 lbs and was 31 ½ inches tall. This is a pretty BIG growth spurt from her previous well visit.

Here is what Olivia is into at 15 months, 4 weeks old…

Little People Dolls...She has the Fisher Price Little People airplane and the pre school and she carries the dolls around with her everywhere. She also likes to have two of the dolls sitting on the edge of her crib when she naps.

Baby Dolls…Olivia is a good little mama to her babies. She rocks them, kisses them, undresses them and often times the baby dolls take a dip in the sink while she is washing her hands and a few have even joined her at bath time.

New words….Continuing from our other vocabulary list. Olivia adds new words almost daily.
92. Nurse (Olivia now tells me when she wants to nurse)
93. Joy (She sings Joy Joy when the song “I’v got the joy, joy, joy, joy down in my heart” is on)
94. Happy
95. Hannah (She knows her friend Hannah by name)
96. Mermaid

100. Hot
101. Two
102. I do (It took us awhile to figure out why she kept saying this, but this means "I do it" and she wants to do something)

104. Color (Her new favorite activity is to color at her table)

107. Giraffe (It’s not Gi Gi anymore)

109. Surprise (Olivia loves to play hide and seek and she says “Shhhh” and hides then can yell “Surprise”)

Blessings…For awhile Olivia has been saying “Amen” when she sits in her highchair to eat and say the blessing. It is funny because when she is really hungry she doesn’t wait for you to say the blessing, she just says “Amen” and starts eating! But now that we have started saying prayers together at night when we get into bed she folds her hands in prayer and says “Amen.”

Eating with a fork…Olivia uses a fork now as well as a spoon. She loves to eat using her fork.

Books…We read no less than 10 books a day. Olivia loves to hear stories and now she loves when we read her a story in her tent.

Music…Olivia loves music and I do mean LOVES it. She has to have her music on as soon as she wakes up in the morning and anytime we are in her room or in the car. We have learned motions to some songs like “Where is Pointer,” “Deep and Wide,” and “If you are happy and you know it.” We also started working on the ABCs and she sings and hums along when this song comes on.

Elmo…Olivia loves Elmo. It started with a stuffed Elmo we borrowed from Hannah and then I found my old school Tickle Me Elmo. Now she loves the Sesame Street books and can name the characters.

Our little toddler continues to amaze us everyday. I can only imagine what she will be doing next month when she is 16 months old!
