Christmas 2011

We hope everyone had a most Merry Christmas surrounded by friends and family. We had an exhausting but memorable Christmas. The week leading up to Christmas was spent in Disney World with Mark’s family (many photos and stories to come soon about this trip). After the 8 hour car ride from Orlando we stopped in Augusta to see some of my family. Nana and Poppa hosted a Christmas party in their new home so that Olivia would get a chance to spend time with her cousins and aunts and uncles at Christmas. Even though there were boxes in the garage and no pictures hung on the wall, it definitely felt like home.

Olivia loved the presents from her family so much she immediately took off her dress to wear an Elmo shirt and put on her new hat!

Christmas Eve morning Nana and Poppa filled Olivia’s stocking and let her open some presents.

She loved unwrapping the presents and wearing all the Christmas hats and glasses Poppa had laying around.

Our stay in Augusta was much too brief and we headed back to our house to celebrate Christmas Eve with Mark’s family and some special guests visiting from South Africa.

The cousins made sure Santa could find the house by sprinkling reindeer food in the yard.
Christmas morning Santa came to our house and Olivia opened up a few presents from Santa before we rushed back to Aunt Victoria and Uncle Dave's house to open (more) presents and have brunch.

We had to wake Olivia up Christmas morning and remarked we bet this was the last Christmas that would happen-next year she will probably have us up at the crack of dawn!

hehe... cute pictures - it was fun to have the girls together - they had a good time playing. I told Dave that next year we have to have all her pressies pre-assembled and all dolls etc out of the boxes or at least all the ties undone.

Oh my goodness, that sounds exhausting but awesomely fun! I cannot believe how grown up she looks in that photo with the Elmo shirt and hat!! Crazy! Looks like you guys had a wonderful Christmas with lots of family -- the best!
