We celebrated St. Patty’s Day in Evans this past weekend and had a blast.
The morning started off with green eggs. When Olivia saw the green eggs she said to Nana, “put them back in the pot.” Eventually she did eat the eggs, green colored and all.
Then we headed to the parade downtown.
Olivia loved the parade once she found out they threw candy. She became a pro at catching candy. She would carefully unwrap a lollipop and start eating it. Then someone else would throw candy and she would pick up a new lollipop and give us the old one. By the end of the parade we had four half eaten lollipops.
After the parade we tried on different hats as we waited for family to arrive for the St. Patty’s Day party at Nana and Poppy’s house.
It was an Irish celebration, made complete by being with family!
